The weather was the challenge, too wet for some, too cold for others. It's not worth it. We did a bit of canning and store the potatoes in the basement.meemsnychttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10584936035577822444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2058555775154932842.post-7223679314340916732010-11-05T10:06:32.601-04:002010-11-05T10:06:32.601-04:00Kelly, you are one organized gal. Can you tell I'm a first year gardener? :) I'm definitely getting lots of inspiration from you and the others here, though!thyme2gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06512569281844698265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2058555775154932842.post-63977012102137754102010-11-04T13:41:27.855-04:002010-11-04T13:41:27.855-04:00unfortunately, due to the heat and humidity here, ...unfortunately, due to the heat and humidity here, things don't store well. The only things I successfully store are garlic and shallots, and even with those I have to go through the mesh bags once a month to remove those that are starting to rot. My potatoes just stay in the fridge until eaten, and my onions get chopped or sliced into rings and go into the freezer with all the other produce.Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06916896512933101955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2058555775154932842.post-29196265856813854082010-11-04T12:40:23.374-04:002010-11-04T12:40:23.374-04:00Bangchick- you garden ingredients are so different...Bangchick- you garden ingredients are so different than mine, it is interesting!! We took along a little bit of this and that to test the new garden, which includes lemon grass, pandan, ginger, tumeric, banana seedlings and many many other seeds....
