Meet "Bun-Bun"

Here is my new garden friend:

This is Bun-Bun, my daughter's birthday present.  It is a mighty cute creature, and I am looking forward to letting it fertilize my garden.  The problem is that my dogs are interested in eating Bun-Bun.  Very interested.  I am hoping this small fuzzy critter will eventually stop looking so exciting to the canine members of the family.  They keep their noses to the cage, and the photo is always blurry thanks to their licking, bumping, and pawing.  Luckily Bun-Bun just thinks they are silly.

In garden news the tomato/eggplant/pepper seedlings are growing, and herbs and greens have been sown.  Everyday I say I am sowing kale.  It has not happened yet.  KALE, KALE, KALE!  Must sow some kale.

Bunnies are the cutest things. If your not looking would the dogs knock the cage down? They are practicing good restraint. I still have one dog that will eat the chickens if she gets the chance. If you find a way to desensitize them let me know.

Lots of luck. Annie and Otto still antagonize Cookie, even after three years of living together. I've tried to bond them, but the dogs get too rough with their poking Cookie with their noses. I have let them all loose together, under close supervision. Cookie can outrun the dogs, but they eventually get their brains in sync and manage to trap the bunny between them. That's when we have to step in quickly.

What a cute name for the bunny! Reminds of the character in the little critter books.

What a cute bunny. My daughter had a house bunny when she was young. He was a good pet. We didn't have any other pets at the time though. Good luck with the dogs!!

A RABBIT!!! LOL, I was so behind on reading blogs, I jumped right to this one to see if you had gotten a spastic Border Collie or inherited an incorrigible child, but I did not expect a rabbit :) - very cute! Now go sow that Kale!

Are you sure you are a gardener? :) And willingly took a bunny into your life? Ok I must admit I want an angora bunny someday.

Bun Bun looks like such a sweetie! It would be nice if the dogs lost interest, but I don't see it happening!
