Harvest Monday

Here is my contribution for Harvest Monday over at Daphne's Dandelions - a salad of mixed greens and baby spinach with dinner; some kale, chard, spinach, chives, and sage to go in a garden quiche for another day.

We are in the midst of a cold snap here in Massachusetts, things were growing well while the warm weather blessed us recently.  The potatoes are high, the various fruit trees and bushes are transitioning from flower to fruit, and the greens began to bolt.  Hope you all are having a wonderful week, Happy Gardening!!

Lovely harvest of greens. I wish I had some kale to harvest now. Next year I will start it earlier.

That is a nice little harvest. And I can't wait for the cold snap to get over with so I can plant out my tomatoes. With the forecast I think I'm going to wait until Saturday though.

Good call Daphne, after so many warm nights in a row I planted my tomato babies out. Their fast growth will come to screeching halt no doubt!

I can't wait until we all get some tomatoes for our yummy salads!

Hopefully the cold snap is over as I need to get my tomatoes out!

Why is it that I still don't have any lettuce? I'm cursed!

What kind of kale is that? It looks very much like my red ursa which I just love! Nice harvest.

It is Red Russian, said to be a mild, sweet kale.
